HOW TO: Hide All Your Browser Tabs With One Button

Isn't it frustrating when you had to quickly close all your important tabs to hide it from anyone who just peeps up in to your monitor suddenly (Usually it's your mom or dad!) and ruins your privacy?

If that's the case, then a simple extension called "PanicButton" is here for your rescue. Available for both Chrome and Firefox, this extension works wonders.

PanicButton makes it so simple for you to hide all of your tabs at once just by clicking on a button on the top left-hand side of your browser. The websites you were surfing are then instantly saved as bookmarks in a separate folder and the PanicButton then turns green and shows you how many tabs are currently hidden. Click back again on the button and it restores all of the tabs you have hidden earlier.

How to do this?
  • Download and Install 'PanicButton' - Chrome / Firefox
  • After Installation you will see a red colored exclamation mark on the top right side of your browser. Click on it and all your opened tabs will get hidden.
  • The button will turn green with the count of number of tabs that are hidden. Click it again and all your tabs will get loaded again. Simple?
  • There's more you can do. Right click the extension button and head over to Options. You can set up a keyboard shortcut if your too lazy to hit the button itself.
  • Need more privacy? You can add up a password to re-open the hidden tabs (works only with Chrome). And also decide which page turns up after you hit the button for the first time. It's called the 'Safe Page'.
  • Done.
