Barack Obama's Pinterest Account |
Is it a smart move or just another desperate change to gain votes from young people? Well, will leave that question for you to decide. President Barack Obama has officially joined the latest insanely famous social network - Pinterest.
The news was confirmed by his Twitter account in a tweet which read - "Organizers, infographics, murals, and cake-now pinning all of the above for #Obama2012 on Pinterest". This Twitter account is handled by his 2012 re-election campaign staff.
The Pinterest account already has 8 boards which include Obama-inspired recipes, pet lovers for Obama, etc. But most importantly 'Obama 2012 in action' is the board that will attract votes. The account has 3751 followers as of now and we expect more to come in.
For those who wondering what Pinterest is - This new social network lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. It's all about pinning as the name suggests. What you do, is attach the link you'll like to share and the site allows you to find a image from that link and you can select the best-looking image. So instead of those boring simple links, Pinterest shares attractive images and you're taken to the link on clicking the image. Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. You can follow people, repin their pins and also Like them. It's very famous among women and growing out to be a competitor to Facebook, Twitter and G+.
