HP's first ever Ultrabook - the Envy 14 Spectre was seen first back at CES 2012. Better late than never, this sleek Ultrabook has got the Indian launch and will hit the shelves by April. It's not hard to call this one of the most desirable Windows PC but then strikes the Rs.99,999 price tag to shatter your dreams. This might be a downfall as comparatively Apple's Macbook Air is cheaper than this Ultrabook.
This Ultrabook manages to fit in a 14-inch LED backlit Radiance display (1600×900 pixels) in the frame of a 14inch panel. As slim as 20mm, it weighs a good 1.8kg. A back-lit keyboard, proximity sensors, TrueVision Web Camera and a 4-Cell battery are the other hardware features. HP claims a 9 hour battery life.
For powering the Ultrabook, HP will be offering Intel Core i5 and i7 processors clocked at either 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz respectively. A 128GB SSD and 4GB RAM is available with the option of upgrading both as per user choice. On the connectivity front, NFC, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, Mini-Display, HDMI and 2-in-1 card reader ports are included.
HP's also offering few softwares like a 2 year subscription to Norton Internet Security and full versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements.
