HTC officially launches the One X and One V in India

HTC

Revealed back at MWC, HTC's new one series bagged in a lot of attention and appraisal from everyone. Finally, the One X and One V have now officially made it to India. For those wondering about the mid-budget model One S, it is still set to come next month.

HTC One X India
The HTC One X is the smartphone you should be buying right now. The immensely fast quad-core (plus one) Tegra 3 processor built by Nvidia, clocked in at 1.5GHz is placed inside a solid yet beautifully designed polycarbonate unibody that withholds a huge 4.7-inch Super LCD panel on the front to give your eyes a visual delight, all thanks to the display's 720p HD resolution and a pixel density of 316ppi. To top all that HTC is introducing an extra processor called ImageChip coupled with ImageSense technology to boost the rear 8-megapixel backside-illuminated camera sensor, a wide aperture f/2.0 autofocus lens, 5fps burst mode, 1080p HD video recording and as well as an 1.3MP 720p HD front-facing camera. Tempted already? Even we are. All the connectivity options are bundled in, including NFC and the One X carries a 1800mAh battery. It will be available in Polar White and Glamour Grey colors.

On the other hand, the lower-end model HTC One V comes in with a 3.7-inch 800x480 pixel display and to power it, a 1GHz single-core Snapdragon S2 processor coupled with 512MB of RAM is built in. A 5MP 720p HD autofocus camera with an f/2.0 lens but no front-facing camera has been included. The One V is available in 'Jupiter Rock' color and packs in a 1500mAh battery.

HTC One V India

Both the One X and One V bring with themselves a marriage of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC's now lighter version - Sense 4.0 UI to deliver a perfect experience. Also in common is the Beats Audio technology which we hope would bring about significant improvement in sound quality this time.

HTC does the great job of providing immense storage capacity with the One X coming out with a 32GB internal memory and One V 4GB. But why I mentioned immense is that you get an extra 25GB worth of Dropbox online storage with the One series alongside a free 2 year subscription.

While the specifications may sound interesting, HTC has also partnered with Bharti Airtel to offer free download of 100 full songs, 500 MB data for three months and 200 minutes of Mobile TV. The offer is valid till June 30 for all Airtel users who buy any device from the One Series.

Although the two popped up in online stores and few retail outlets, they have received official launches now, with the One X getting a hefty MRP of Rs.42,999 and the lower-end model One V gets MRP of Rs. 19,999. But we expect you'll get them in stores roughly at Rs.37,899 and Rs. 18,299 respectively.

If you're thinking of buying a smartphone right now, then One X is the right choice. We are tempted just like you and trying our best to get the device for a full review.
