The Xperia S is the first smartphone to be launched under the 'Sony' flagship as the company bought the shares of Ericsson in the joint venture (Sony Ericsson). The company's official Facebook page announced that it will arrive to India on April 10.

As you can see below, Sony's also going to offer Free accessories worth Rs.4000 but one beneficial service they are giving is 'Lifelong 50 GB cloud storage through the Box App'. This has been previously also done by HTC as a part of their tie-up with Dropbox to offer free cloud storage.

The phone was previously unveiled at CES 2012 earlier this year. It is powered with a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon MSM 8206 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. A 4.3 inch HD display (1280X720 pixels resolution) lies above the LED-lit plastic bar which acts as a separator at bottom. The Xperia S runs Android 2.3.7 operating system which is expected to be upgraded to Android Ice Cream Sandwich soon. The camera section is powerful with a 12 megapixel snapper which obviously can shoot full HD video. The front camera is 1.3 MP with video at 720 (30fps). Connectivity includes Wi-Fi, 3G, DLNA and HDMI. A 1750mAh battery is present under the hood for power consumption.

Pricing details aren't out yet but we expect it to be priced near Rs.30,000.
