Honda CBR 150R launch in March, to be priced around Rs 1.15Lakh

Indian motorcycle scene is suddenly getting red-hot, it is only the second month of the year and we have already seen the launch of two much-awaited and very exciting motorcycles; KTM's Duke 200 and the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. Now, the bike that we are really looking forward to is the Honda CBR 150R. This new motorcycle was earlier showcased at the Auto Expo held in New Delhi last month. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is now all set to launch the baby CBR in coming month.

The CBR 150R comes powered by a single cylinder, 150cc engine with DOHC and four valves per-cylinder. The bike is a younger sibling of the popular CBR 250R that Honda sells here. The rev-happy 150cc engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and produces around 18hp and a peak torque of 12.6 Nm (slightly more than the Yamaha R15
Honda hopes to sell over 3,500 units of the CBR 150R every month. Yamaha, in comparison, sells around 3,000 units of the R15 version 2.0. We expect the launch to be in the middle of March with a price-tag of around Rs 1.15Lakh. Stay tuned.
