Steve Jobs: iLive

Mark Long's tribute to Steve Jobs

Apple co-founder and former CEO, Steve Jobs, died at the age of 56 last night due to cancer. It's heart breaking to know that Apple's support pillar, the man himself who created this unique company, the visionary is no more with us.

Not only he revolutionized the technology industry with best selling products like iPod, iPhone, iPad and the iMac but also very few know that he was the man behind building the world's Best Animation studio-PIXAR. He was the CEO over there too.

He was considered as the most influential man in the technology world. His style of managing his employees and the power to motivate them to think beyond was his Best quality as a CEO at Apple.

Steve's family said to the media,"Steve died peacefully today surrounded by his family. In his public life, Steve was known as a visionary; in his private life, he cherished his family."

Bill Gates said-
I'm truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs' death. Melinda and I extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to everyone Steve has touched through his work.
Steve and I first met nearly 30 years ago, and have been colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half our lives.
The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come.
For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it's been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely.

Tim Cook, now the CEO at Apple said,"No words can adequately express our sadness at Steve's death or our gratitude for the opportunity to work with him. We will honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much."

Steve, was battling with ill health for years and was forced to let down the post of CEO in August. He had a rare form of pancreatic cancer.

Even though the world mourns for his death and will always remember him over the coming generations, he will always be alive with us through his creative "i" devices, his ideologies and vision to make Apple what it is today.

He had to the power to make us think of his company first rather than making us think about the fruit Apple first. He deserves a standing ovation for making Apple the best brand in our world. Not only will we remember him as a CEO but as a human being who lived with his heart, who followed his dreams and taught the world that even a non-graduate can build up a multi-billionaire company.

I as a geek was shocked to know the man who inspired me when I had read his book iCon: Steve Jobs is no more. Both as a gizmo freak and as an animator i'm deeply saddened and would like you all to pray & ask you all to wish that may he Rest In Peace.
