Indian motorcycle scene is suddenly getting red-hot, it is only the third month of the year and we have already seen the launch of two much-awaited and very exciting motorcycles; KTM's Duke 200 and the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.
Now, the bike that we were really looking forward to is Honda's CBR 150R. This new motorcycle was earlier showcased at the Auto Expo held in New Delhi. Now though, Honda has finally launched it here.
The CBR 150R comes powered by a single cylinder, 150cc engine with DOHC and four valves per-cylinder. liquid cooling and PGM-FI allow more efficiency to the engine giving maximum power with minimum effort. The bike is a younger sibling of the popular CBR 250R that Honda sells here. The rev-happy 150cc engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and produces around 18hp and a peak torque of 12.6 Nm (slightly more than Yamaha's R15)
The CBR 150R is available in two variants - Standard and Deluxe. The standard model comes with a two-tone paint job, either Black with Pearl Sunbeam White or Sports Red with Pearl Sunbeam White. The Deluxe version is offered with a triple-tone paint job, Vibrant Orange with Pearl Sunbeam White colour or Black with Candy Palm Green.
