Renault's flagship saloon - the Fluence, in Diesel spec, now comes with all the bells and whistles that are standard in the top-spec E4 Petrol version.
The upgraded Fluence gets a new engine with an upgraded turbo that puts out more power than the previous motor. The 1.5 dCi Direct Injection Diesel Engine now produces 110PS of power at 4,000rpm and 240Nm of torque at
2,000rpm. The Diesel Fluence comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the overall fuel efficiency figure, according to Renault, is a claimed 20.4kmpl.
Unlike
the previous E2 Diesel, this E4 version of the Fluence comes with a long
equipment list that features premium fabric upholstery, cruise control,
rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, automatic headlamps,
rear sunblinds, rain-sensing wipers, Bluetooth and USB
connectivity. With premium safety features like side-chest level
airbags for the front seat occupants; safety has been put on top level
as well. The upgraded Fluence E4 Diesel has been priced at Rs 15.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
