In less than a year, Apple's online software store launched on Jan. 6 named 'Mac Store' has reached a staggering 100 Million Downloads.
It's a single marketplace for all desktop applications working on Mac. The most popular applications are now distributed through the Mac App Store, including the latest version of the Mac operating system itself, OS X Lion.
"With more than 100 million downloads in less than a year, the Mac App Store is the largest and fastest growing PC software store in the world," Apple said in a statement on Monday.
Apple's App Store for the mobile operating system - iOS, holds more than 500,000 apps, with users downloading a whopping 1 billion apps per month, and the total number of downloads are more than 18 billion. That's a lot of numbers!
