Samsung Galaxy S Advance is Official Now

Samsung Galaxy S Advance
Reports got spread like wildfire about a new Samsung device called the 'Galaxy S Advance' since yesterday. Although as Mobile World Congress is nearing, everyone was expecting Samsung to reveal Galaxy S III but till then they have now officially added a new smartphone to their Galaxy line-up. The announcements you heard since yesterday are true now.

Samsung has just released the Galaxy Advance S. It will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core CPU, 4-inch 480 x 800 Super AMOLED display, 16GB worth of memory and 768MB of RAM. The device will carry a five megapixel camera, along with a 1.3 megapixel in the front. Unfortunatelty there's no Ice Cream Sandwich here, instead the Advance S has Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Connectivity support for 14.4 Mbps HSPA, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0 are loaded in. Seems like a small brother of the Galaxy S II.

The device will start selling in Russia next month, followed by Europe, Africa, Middle East, Southeast and Southwest Asia, Latin America and China. Samsung failed to provide a price tag.
