These are exclusive spy images of Chevrolet’s upcoming saloon, the Sail; latest from the American carmaker that will replace the ageing Aveo here in the Indian market.
We caught the model getting tested in Mumbai and interestingly, the car looked like a finished prototype, ready to be shipped. This new saloon - designed and developed in China, looks well proportioned in just about every angle. The detailing, especially, stands out and there are lots of nice deign touches across the bodywork. The interior too comes with its fair share of modern design elements like the twin cockpit layout for the dashboard - typical of a modern-day Chevy. The Sail promises good amount of space and comfort with seats that are accommodating and comfy enough for long trips. Under the hood, engine options are likely to be 1.4-litre S-TEC Petrol with around 105hp and a Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre Diesel engine with 90hp on tap. Both these engines will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Expect Chevrolet to launch the all-new Sail by July with a price tag of around Rs 5.5-7.5 Lakh.
