New Mercedes-Benz GL breaks cover!

Mercedes has unveiled the all-new 'XXL-sized' GL-Class at the New York Motor Show.

The SUV now looks completely different from the car it replaces, especially when viewed head-on. The GL comes with a redesigned and more upright grille; splashes of chrome across the front bumper and daytime running LEDs complete the upmarket treatment. Overall, the GL seems to have lost some amount of brutish charm, and that is what made the original such an appealing car to look at.

On the inside, everything has been changed; be it design, layout or quality of materials used. With seven seats on offer, the new GL promises even more space and comfort, all thanks to the added length and width on the outside.

Here in India, we will be getting the GL350 BlueTEC - with a direct-injection 3-litre six-cylinder diesel (similar to the current GL-Class), though the power output is said to be up (to around 236bhp)
Stay tuned for more on this super-sized luxury off-roader.
