Though Aladin being a spectacle, it did not get the attention it expected. But that did not stop him, he came back with a Drama that has got everybody talking about him in Bollywood. Director of the Superhit film Kahaani, 'Sujoy Ghosh' is on a roll. He has proven himself & is enjoying every bit of his success. Apart from his direction, the movie has one more important element. Any guesses ? Yes, bang on, it's Vidya Balan.
After the success of Kahaani, Ghosh does not wish to stop. He already has his next venture ready. The movie will have Vidya Balan & Amitabh Bachchan in it. I think it is enough said already. But I will continue for my readers who are hungry for more.
Sujoy Ghosh's next project is a film based on the famous Bengali novel ‘Aranyer Din Ratri’ written by the novelist Sunil Gangopadhyay. Both Vidya and Amitabh are set to enact the powerful roles in the movie.
Ghosh is not new to the actors neither are the actors new to each other. There is an existing chemistry already. Amitabh Bachchan worked in Aladin & sang a song ‘Ekla Chalo Re' for Kahaani. While Vidya Balan's performance in Kahaani got him exactly what he was looking for. And both the actors are well known for their power packed performance in Paa.
Sujoy, talking to media, says that he cannot even think of any film without both of these stars. He is so much impressed by the qualities of Balan and Bachchan that he wants to make each and every film of his with them. Ghosh also adds that he now likes to take his cinema beyond Kahaani which is why he has zeroed in Bengali novel to make a film on.
Though the idea of making a film on this novel is not new. There have been two attempts already. Satyajit Roy made a film on the novel in 1970 & Gautam Ghose made a sequel to it in 2003.
Sujoy Ghosh is practically going to live with the novel for couple of months before he takes it on the floor. We are waiting!
