Draw Something App creates mobile game record with 50 Million downloads

Draw Something record

It's now a trend for a smartphone game to create a record but nothing is predictable as to which game might be a hit or not. Angry Birds Space reached 10 Million downloads in just three days but this record is no more valuable. The social Pictionary-style game called 'Draw Something' has now replaced this spot as the No. 1 paid app in the App Store.

The game has been a huge success, now with a total 50 million downloads in just 50 days and is creating a record for the fastest-growing original mobile game of all time. Now owned by Zynga, the game was previously the creation of a company named OMGPOP. Zynga bought Draw Something for a handsome $180 million from this small company.

Other eye-catching facts include three draws per second were created on the day the game launched, a total 6 billion drawings have been created since then and now the number is 3,000 drawings per second. Zynga claimed the most popular words in the game are starfish, pregnant, hangman, six pack, and boom box while the least popular word is latrine.
