New Hyundai Sonata Launched, Prices starting from Rs 18.52 Lakh

Hyundai has at last announced the prices of its flagship sedan, the all-new Sonata.

The range starts at Rs 18.52 Lakh for manual version and the automatic comes at Rs 20.61 Lakh, all prices ex-showroom, Delhi. The new Sonata made its debut at the Auto Expo in January this year. In its current mark, this will be the third innings for the Korean sedan, here in India.

The new Sonata, like every other Hyundai on sale today, has been designed in keeping with company's latest fluidic design language. The end result, we must say, is quite appealing; in profile, the car looks elegant and carries a sense of emotion unlike the previous Sonata. Inside too, everything has been changed. The design looks a lot more soothing and the cabin promises more comfort and space. The quality of plastics, are a notch above over the previous Sonata.

The feature list is longer than ever as well; with 6 airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), ESP (electronic stability program), xenon head lamps, cruise control, rear view camera, paddle shift, 10-way adjustable power seat, smart key with push button start.

Under the hood
There's just one engine on offer- the new 4-cylinder, 2.4 litre GDi direct-injection Petrol engine. It makes around 200bhp @ 6300rpm and over 25kgm of torque @ 4350rpm. There are two transmission options available - a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
