LG Shows Off Spectrum Smartphone At CES 2012

Along with an array of thin HDTV's, LG has just showed off a 4G LTE Verizon bound smartphone dubbed as "LG Spectrum" which will be retailing for $199 2-year contract in the US.

Talking about the features, to start with it carries a 4.5-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display utilizing RGB, 1.5Ghz Dual-Core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and of'course 1080p video recording,  plus a 1.3-megapixel front camera for video chat.

The display comes with 329 pixels per inch, which is higher than iPhone 4S' 326 pixels per inch. To utilize the awesomeness of the HD display LG has loaded in a ESPN SportsCenter App with the Spectrum. There's more - SmartMovie HD app will let you create and edit videos directly on the phone.

The question arrives - Does it carry Ice Cream Sandwich? Oh! wait sadly it does not, instead it will carry Gingerbread and LG promises a future ICS update. Let's hope we soon get to see a ICS powered smartphone at CES tomorrow. The Spectrum won't probably hit the Indian shores.
